Built from the Ground Up. Just Like Everything Else in My Life.

I’m President and co-founder of Reside Platform, and CEO of Best Sac Homes Group in Sacramento. My teams have sold more than 4,500 homes. In 2021 we were ranked the #1 mega team in California for homes sold by RealTrends and The Wall Street Journal, and #2 in 2022. I wrote Team Leader Secrets.

But I’m not just a team leader. I’m a husband, a dad, and a guy who almost burned out trying to do it all — and the only reason I figured out how to build a real estate business that actually works is because I almost lost myself trying to do it the hard way.

The Before Story

I didn’t start out trying to build a team.

I started out trying to pay the bills, keep my head above water, and be the kind of husband and dad my wife and kids deserved.

Like a lot of agents, I got into real estate because I wanted control. Over my time. My money. My life.

But what I got was 24/7 hustle. No sleep. No boundaries. And the terrifying moment in a parking lot where I thought I was having a heart attack while my wife — eight months pregnant — sat next to me.

That was my breaking point.

I didn’t want to live like that.

So I stopped trying to be a solo superhero and started building something that could run without burning me to the ground.

The Shift

Over the years, I learned the hard way what makes a real estate business sustainable. I built systems. Hired smarter. Learned how to train and lead. Created a culture that attracted people who wanted to grow — not just cash checks.

And eventually, I built one of the top-performing teams in California.

But the title doesn’t matter.

What matters is that I can now pick my kids up from school, sit down for dinner with my wife, and actually be present.

That’s the win.

That’s what I help other agents and team leaders build now — a business that works and a life that works.

What I Believe

What I Believe:

  • Real estate should give you more freedom, not less.

  • Systems matter more than motivation.

  • You don’t need to be the smartest — just the most consistent.

  • Culture is everything. If you build a team of winners, everyone grows.

  • Your business should support your life. Not the other way around.
